Devin Monajem’s title at the Toronto Office of Agnostic is Engagement Strategist, but he’s so much more than that.
Prior to joining the Agnostic team, Devin had a varied career. He lived in New York City for 3 years where he both completed a Master’s degree in Organizational Change Management at The New School, and worked on change management projects at organizations such as the New York Transportation Metropolitan Transportation Council and YouthBridge-NY. He also cut his digital chops at a start-up called Purpose Inc.
From there, he moved back to Toronto (visa issues), and quickly found work at another start-up called Ten Thousand Coffees. At Ten Thousand Coffees he defined the social audience and grew all social followings. He was responsible for everything from planning & strategy to design to execution to measurement and re-iteration. So… everything. After helping grow that business, he transitioned over to an agency called Kenna, which was subsequently acquired by the ad agency KBS+. It was a bumpy road, but someone had to walk it.
At Kenna/KBS+, Devin was instrumental in building several social strategies for enterprises that spanned the CPG, Tech, Financial, and non-profit verticals. Moreover, he took an analytics-first approach, where he studied how brands performed on their social channels and created content recommendations based off that performance.
Devin has a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University in Political Science and an MS in Organizational Change Management from The New School. He’s also qualified to chat all things digital, while elegantly sipping a glass of 2006 Pinot Noir, and playing you in a game of chess. At the same time. He takes all challengers with a -1500 rating. He would’ve included a GIF in this bio if he could. But he can’t. So, everyone’s loss.
