Overview
In 2024, as AI was a constant buzz, fraud and identity theft surged—fueled by the rise of generative AI.
Okta Canada, a leader in identity management, needed to find a way to cut through the noise and show that AI-powered identity theft was a real and emerging threat, while positioning themselves as a go-to expert in cybersecurity.
We teamed up with Angus Reid to launch a survey exploring Canadians' views on identity theft amid advancements in generative AI. Using this data, we crafted an omni-channel strategy that spanned earned, paid, owned, and social media, developing both national and regional storylines.
We secured an exclusive feature on CTV's Consumer Alerts broadcast news show. We leveraged Okta Canada’s SVP & Country Manager as our spokesperson, who's personal experiences with identity theft extended our reach beyond the typical tech sector, and when paired with our team’s infographics on LinkedIn, they outperformed industry benchmarks.
Our campaign achieved national coverage, including four executive interviews across three provinces and a spot on Canada’s top business podcast.
